  • At the 2023 Australian Permaculture Convergence, David Holmgren spoke at length honoring the late Dan Palmer of Making Permaculture Stronger, who we lost in 2022. It’s a fitting tribute to Dan, someone I counted as a friend as well as a colleague, and who had a huge impact on permaculture. Though many of us will feel his loss for a long time, we will also feel Dan’s impact today and for many future generations.

If you’d like to remember Dan or learn more about his work, take the time to watch this video. If you’d like to hear more from Dan directly, I’m including three interviews from Dan in the show notes below.

  • Starting on July 13, 2023, and running through December 14th, is a Live, Online, Permaculture Design Course with David Holmgren, Beck Lowe, and Guests.

Though it’s short notice, if you are looking for an online PDC, here’s a chance to invite a cofounder of permaculture into your life and your study space and learn permaculture directly from him and other amazing guest instructors. As this episode goes into the world, registration is still open.

  • On July 19th, 2023, at 12 Noon, Eastern, is a virtual, workshop close to my heart: Hidden Voices: Why Inclusive Storytelling is Crital to Accelerating Climate Solutions. This course is from Project Drawdown and is taught by that project’s Director of Storytelling and Engagement, Matt Scott. He’ll be sharing how we can use stories to elevate voices that are often overlooked or ignored and, by doing so, bring more effective solutions to the world.

I’m planning to attend this workshop and hope you’ll be able to join me. If not, I’ll work on sharing the key insights and points with you in a future Resources episode, so you can apply these lessons to your own work.

  • Permaculture legend and radical homemaker, Su Dennett is launching a new Permaculture Series, Do with Su,  to bring her knowledge and wisdom, gained over decades living at Melliodora with her partner David Holmgren, to permaculture practitioners through a series of filmed videos and live Q&As with Su, herself.

Whether you want to learn new staples for your Garden-to-Table kitchen, ways to close your food loops, or expand how to create a permaculture homestead, this is an educational experience worth checking out. Launching soon, you can sign up today to learn more when it does.

  • In a few days will be a Q&A episode, where the question comes from me, asking you “What is holding you back on your permaculture journey?” I’ll also share why I’m asking that question, how your answers will help me and other organizations, and what could come from you reaching out to us.
  • I’m planning out the advertising schedule for the 2023 - 2024 podcast schedule and updated my fact sheet for advertising on The Permaculture Podcast, including the benefits and costs. If you would like to advertise your class, workshop, product, or service on the show, start the conversation by getting in touch to let me know so I can send you the latest information.
