I see this kind of design work presented by the students in this video as fundamental to being able to better utilize our resources. The amount of electronic waste (e-waste) created through the purchase, use, and disposal of consumer electronics in the United States alone is around 2.25 million short tons (EPA) with 414,000 of it being recycled. That’s a long way to go before our society makes use of the principle of Make No Waste. Until then, I am waiting for the day when someone starts a company that begins mining landfills for materials.
